What is Photography
The term “photography” first came into existence in 1839 and is a combination of two Greek words; phos meaning light, and graphe, meaning drawing. The “drawing with light” is accomplished by using a camera and lens to create a photograph. As for me, I see the light, its angles and its texture as much as I see any subject or scene. Without any judgement on what is considered art, all images on this site are true to the definition of photography and are not generated though AI.
The images here, taken using both film and with high quality digital cameras, were captured to preserve my vision of a certain scene or subject that caught my eye as the moments light and shadow demanded its preservation. My images are all simple " lightscapes", subjects that have revealed themselves to be extraordinary at a certain moment in time. There are many images on this site and hundreds in my catalog that had to be visited many times until that certain subject or scene was finally revealed by the natural light at that exact photographically preserved moment of time.

Our Papers and Inks
Archival quality prints are designed to last for generations without significant degradation. These prints use high-quality materials, such as acid-free paper and pigment-based inks, to ensure longevity. Our paper is acid and lignin-free, which prevents yellowing and deterioration over time. High-quality, pigment-based inks are used for their superior color accuracy and resistance to fading. By using these premium materials, archival prints maintain their beauty and value for generations, making them a worthy investment for both personal and professional collections.
